Hyper-V Unable to access guest machine

PROBLEM:
Hyper-V Host machine unable to access shares on the guest machines. All other machines on the network can.

On the Hyper-V server the network card properties used by the Virual hosts is unable to bind ‘Client for Microsoft network”

Attempting to add ‘Client for Microosft network’ you recieve the following error

Your current selction will also disable the following features
Client for Microosft Networks

Are you sure you want to continue

RESOLUTION:

Open Network and Secuiry Center from the Contol panel
Select Manage network connections under tasks
In network connectoins press ‘alt’ to view the menu bar
Select Advanced and the Advanced settings
For the Hyper-V network cards confirm that the bindings for the connection are enabled on both IP 4 and 6
