{"id":693,"date":"2010-07-20T20:00:16","date_gmt":"2010-07-20T19:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tsls.co.uk\/?p=693"},"modified":"2010-07-20T20:00:16","modified_gmt":"2010-07-20T19:00:16","slug":"deploying-windows-intune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tsls.co.uk\/index.php\/2010\/07\/20\/deploying-windows-intune\/","title":{"rendered":"Deploying Windows Intune"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First of all as a Systems Administrator you will need to sign-up to the Windows Intune service, as of writing (20-Jul-10) Windows Intune is in Beta once fully released it\u2019s expected to retail at $11 per month and Include Windows 7 Enterprise Edition.<\/p>\n<p>You can sign up to Windows Intune here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/online\/windows-intune.mspx\">http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/online\/windows-intune.mspx<\/a> (also available in the UK from Microsoft is, OC Online, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Live Meeting)<\/p>\n<p>Once registered you can access the Management console of Windows Intune here:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/manage.microsoft.com\/\">https:\/\/manage.microsoft.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next you will need to select the Administration node \u2013 Client Software Download \u2013 select the download relevant to the platform types you have within your organisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tsls.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/image0042.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-695 colorbox-693\" title=\"image004\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tsls.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/image0042.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"292\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tsls.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/image0111.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Install the software on to your client computer, once installed the client computer should appear in the Management Console<\/p>\n<p>Computers \u2013 All Computers &#8211; Unassigned Computers &#8211; Computers<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tsls.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/image0061.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-696 colorbox-693\" title=\"image006\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tsls.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/image0061-300x102.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"102\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At this point the new client\u2019s should appear listed in the list of computers.<\/p>\n<p>You may choose to group computers by typedepartmentenvironments to make pushing updates and management easier.
