\u00a0ISSUE<\/span><\/p>\n

When Installing SQL Server 2008 R2 CTP SharePoint 2010 Addin the installer starts but at the end it rolls back with the error ‘Installation Intrurrupted’<\/p>\n

WORKAROUND<\/span><\/p>\n

This error is normally caused by the account you are using not having enough\u00a0permissions in SharePoint at the Web and Site collection level.<\/p>\n

Depending On the size of the farm it maybe difficult to determine which site doesn’t have the permissions you require. to workaround this run the installer manually by following the below steps:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Open a command prompt with administrator permissions.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Run msiexec -i rsSharePoint.msi SKIPCA=1.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Find the rsCustomAction.exe file on the file system. This file is copied to your computer by the Setup program. The file will be located in the %Temp% directory.
\nTo get the path information for this file, click Start, click Run, and then type %temp%. The file should be located in Documents and Settings<your name>LOCALS~1Temp.
\nOpen a command prompt window. To do this, click Start, click Run, and type cmd. On newer operating systems, you might need to elevate your permissions and run this run this with administrator permission.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Navigate to the folder that contains the rsCustomAction executable.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Enter the following command. This configuration step will take several minutes to finish. The W3SVC service will be restarted during this process.<\/p>\n

‘rsCustomAction.exe \/i’<\/p>\n

\u00a0then follow http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/ee662542(office.14).aspx<\/a><\/p>\n
