As of today\u00a0at 10am (GMT)\u00a0Xbox will have released their new dashboard to the Xbox 360 called NXE (New Xbox Experience). This update brings a new modern look to the Xbox which is well needed. The old sliding blades have been changed to a trendier iPod scrolling interface (flicking). New to the interface is:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

1.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Avatar creation which allows you to create life like 3D mini you, very much like the Nintendo Wii Mii\u2019s.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Friends shown by animated Avatar\u2019s, cool ideas such as sleeping avatars when friends are not on-line.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Parties, you can now create a party in the dashboard in ascents a group of friends, this gives you the ability when you are playing an online game you can invite your party into it, obviously some people maybe playing other games so it would be up to them if they want to join \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ability to copy Xbox games to the console hard drive, this helps to improve load times and eliminates noise from the DVD drive. <\/span><\/p>\n

5.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Video Market place expanded and improved <\/span><\/p>\n

6.\u00a0\u00a0 Over the internet\u00a0Xbox Marketplace, this will allow xbox users to log into the Marketplace from your PCMAC and download content to you Xbox anywhere at anytime\u00a0(Xbox will need to be on for download to work)<\/span><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0\u00a0 Quick\u00a0launch allows you to flick between games which are installed on your console or in the DVD drive\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you find it difficult to navigate the new interface then pressing the Xbox guide button will bring up a smaller version of the old sliding blades interface \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The update will use 128Mb of your hard drive disk space<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The next update to NXE will be:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Photo Sharing channel<\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Improved video rental<\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Primetime channel with a new game called 1 vs 100 where you play against 100 other xbox\u00a0players<\/span><\/p>\n

All I can say is get on to xbox live and get the new interface<\/span><\/p>\n
